We grow the different species in respect for their different requirement for climate and soil condition and the need for isolation. Each species is therefore growing under the most ideal condition.

We select the growers in the area for the specific species among the most experienced and competent growers. There is a long tradition for seed production in these areas. It is necessary for the grower to have drying and storing facilities at their disposal. The grower must also have access to the necessary tools and equipment to handle the crop through the growing season, including irrigation facilities in some areas. Many of our growers have a very long tradition for seed production, some growers have been seed producers in several generations. Most of them are able to manage production of different species in a same harvest year, constantly improving their skill and knowledge.

The growers receive guidance and information by our field advisers during the growing season from sowing to harvest, drying and storing of the seed. The crop is followed from the sowing process with recommendation for seed rate, soil preparation and depth of sowing. Afterwards the fields are inspected to secure a successful weed and disease control.

After the seed is harvested, the quality process continues, the seedlot is inspected and samples are taken out for assessment of the quality.

Daily contact and open discussion with growers allows us going forward and proposing new technical solutions, to stick as close as possible to our clients requirements.
